If I asked you, “What are your personal values?” would you be able to answer that?
Some of us probably could but I’m certain many of us would have to think about it first before winging the answer.
One way to really get to know yourself is to figure out what your personal values actually are.
First, your values, according to the Oxford Dictionary, are:
Principles or standards of behaviour; one’s judgement of what is important in life.
My list of values:
- Kindness
- Loyalty
- Generosity
- Being Yourself
- Happiness
- Honesty
- Integrity
- Fun/Hobbies
I stand strong for the things I believe in, am sincere, try to be fair, decent and honest therefore, Integrity is one of my most important personal values.
You can have as many or as few as you want although it can be difficult to come up with them on the spot. Yours don’t have to match anyone else’s!
